Privacy Policy for SHADOW SHIFT

Last updated: 30 October 2026

SHADOW SHIFT is a 3D light-and-shadow puzzle game published by CG Art Studio. This policy explains what the app collects, who receives it, and what you can do about it.

The short version: the game itself collects nothing and has no account, no login and no server. Everything it remembers about you stays on your phone. The advertising inside it is a different matter, and that is what most of this page is about.

What the game stores

Your progress through the 50 levels (which levels and worlds are unlocked and completed, your best star rating, best time and best move count for each level, and how many times you have completed it), your coin, gem and hint balances, the character skins, light themes and trails you own and the ones you have equipped, your mission progress, your daily reward progress (which day you are on and the date you last claimed), which tutorial tips you have already seen, the world and level you played last, simple totals such as how many levels you have completed and how many hints you have used, and your settings: music and sound volume, vibration on or off, graphics quality and language. The file also records when it was created and when it was last saved.

All of it is written to your device’s own app storage and never leaves it through the game. We cannot read it, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

To suggest a graphics quality the first time you play, the game looks at how much memory and how many processor cores your phone has. Only the chosen quality level is kept; the figures themselves are not stored or sent anywhere.

There is no account to create, nothing to log into, and no way for us to tell one player from another. The game sends no analytics and no crash reports of its own: Unity’s analytics, crash reporting and diagnostics are all switched off in this app.

There are no purchases in SHADOW SHIFT. Coins and gems are earned by playing and spent only on looks, hints and similar items inside the game. Nothing is sold for money, so no payment information of any kind is asked for, handled or stored.

Device backup

If you have switched on your phone’s own backup to your Google account, Android may include the game’s save in that backup and restore it when you set up a new phone or reinstall. That backup goes to your Google account, not to us, and is controlled by your phone’s backup settings.

Permissions

The app does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.

What the advertising collects

SHADOW SHIFT shows three kinds of ad, and none of them ever interrupts a puzzle:

The ads are served through Unity LevelPlay (ironSource), which runs an auction between the advertising networks set up for the app and passes each request to whichever of them wins. In SHADOW SHIFT those networks are ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. To select, deliver and measure ads, these companies may collect:

This data is collected by those companies directly and may be shared among the advertising partners taking part in the auction, under their own policies:

We do not receive any of it in a form that identifies you. What we see are aggregate counts: how many ads were shown, and what they earned.

Personalised advertising

SHADOW SHIFT requests non-personalised advertising. Before the advertising software starts, the app tells it that you have not given consent for personalised ads, that your data must not be sold or shared (“do not sell or share”), and that the app is not directed to children. Ads are chosen without using a profile built from your past activity.

Children

SHADOW SHIFT is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and you want their advertising data removed, contact us and we will pass the request to our advertising partners.

Your choices

Reset or delete your advertising ID. On Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads. You can reset the ID, which breaks the link to everything previously associated with it, or delete it entirely, after which apps receive no ID at all.

Opt out of personalised ads in the same settings screen.

Skip the videos. The hint and coin-doubling videos appear only when you press the button that offers them.

Start over. Settings → Reset progress in the game clears your progress, balances and unlocks (your settings are kept).

Uninstall the app. This deletes everything SHADOW SHIFT stored on your device.

To ask what an advertising partner holds about your device, or to have it deleted, contact Unity through the policy linked above. They are the party that holds it.

How to request deletion of your data

This section is the one Google Play links to as the game’s data deletion request page, and it is written to be followed step by step.

1. Delete what is on your device. Uninstall SHADOW SHIFT (or clear its storage in Android settings). Everything the game itself stored, such as level progress, stars, coins, gems, hints, skins, light themes, trails, missions, daily rewards and settings, is deleted with it, immediately and completely. We hold no copy, because the game has no server. (If your phone backs up apps to your own Google account, delete the backup there too.)

2. Break the link to your advertising data. On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads and choose Delete advertising ID, or Reset advertising ID if you would rather keep receiving ads without the history. Deleting it stops apps receiving an ID at all; resetting it issues a new one and severs everything associated with the old.

3. Ask the advertising partner to erase what it holds. The advertising data is held by Unity (LevelPlay, ironSource and Unity Ads), not by us. Request its deletion through the privacy contact in their policy: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy

4. Or write to us and we will pass the request on. GiorgiAmirkhanovi@gmail.com. Include your advertising ID from step 2. Without it there is no way to identify which records are yours, because we hold nothing that names you.

What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long

Data Who holds it What happens
Level progress, stars, coins, gems, hints, skins, missions, daily rewards, settings Your device only (and your own Google backup, if you use it) Deleted the moment you uninstall. Never sent to us.
Advertising ID Your device, and Unity You delete or reset it yourself, at any time, in Android settings.
Approximate location, device information, ad interactions, diagnostics Unity / ironSource Retained under Unity’s own policy. Deletion is requested through them, or through us.
Aggregate counts: how many ads were shown and what they earned Us Kept indefinitely. These are totals, not records about you: they contain no identifier and cannot be traced back to any device, so there is nothing in them to delete.

We keep no account, no profile and no identifier of any kind. There is no record of you here to erase, which is why every step above points at your device or at Unity.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the current version is always at this address.

This policy describes what the app actually does, and was written against its source code and build configuration rather than from a template. It is not legal advice. If SHADOW SHIFT is distributed in a market with specific requirements, or if the app later gains a server, an account, analytics, or a purchase, this needs revisiting.
